Term 3 2014

We are quickly getting through the year and the children are learning more and more! It is wonderful to watch.

This term we are concentrating on numbers to 100 and studying time.  This involves the months of the year, days of the week, hours and minutes.

You may notice we have some new faces in our class.  Welcome Phillip, Sofia, Jackson, Mya, and Adam.

Please remember that homework books go home on Monday and come back to school Friday.

Regards
Mrs Dodson

The Holy Spirit

The Year Six students have been studying about the Holy Spirit.  Last week they painted pictures depicting how they see and feel the Holy Spirit.  The paintings are beautiful and bright, come and see them when you are next at school.

Teddy Bear Maths

Friday again so we learnt about measuring teddy bears. We measured them with rods and sorted the bears into groups.

Thank you Sara for lending us some of your bears. We were very careful with them and the bears had a fun time.

Mother's Day

I would like to wish all the mothers a happy and blessed Mother's Day.  We have wrapped a nice surprise for you all.

How many ticker tapes long are you?

We have measured everyone with ticker tape.  Come and see who is the tallest and shortest.

Today when I came into class there was a dinosaur footprint on the carpet! So we measured it.

The children found it was 13 camels long and 3 chocolate boxes long.  For the next 5 Fridays Room 3 is studying measurement.

Have you seen our newest member of the class?

Laura is our beautiful goldfish.  She quietly sits in class and listens to our chit chat.  Thank you, Oliver Michelle for giving Laura a castle, a bridge and some grass to swim around.
